Spectrometers > Applications > Object Characterization with Multichannel Spectrometers
Many applications of spectrometers require careful sample characterization. The uniquely designed P&P Optica multichannel spectrometer allows for precise characterization of samples and objects. Since up to 144 spectra are acquired with one instrument, it is possible to gather information about an object from many directions and points at the same time. The spectral information is obtained at the exact same point in time for all points, thus allowing for the characterization of time dependent processes such as biological systems. There is no need for cross-channel calibration, intricate triggering mechanism or multiple spectrometers.
This type of spectrometer is well adapted to the measurement of homogeneity of light sources, displays, or uniformity of a mixture in a container.
