Off-the shelf and in-house made spectrometers often do not meet the high demands of research
Research professionals in commercial, biomedical and university settings often use spectrometers which do not have the spectral range, resolution, dynamic range or design needed to best measure samples quickly and to a high degree of accuracy.
With high performance, non-scanning spectrometers from P&P Optica it is possible to...
- Measure dynamically changing samples quickly to capture spectral information at different states.
- Increase the dynamic range by several orders of magnitude over typical spectrometers to measure concentrations several orders of magnitude smaller.
- Observe small concentration changes, detect small amounts of substance or observe spectra from multiple sources at the same time.
- Exactly match the design of the spectrometer to match your specific experiment.
- Simplify complex measurement systems with one high performance spectrometer.
High Performance Spectrometers
For applications requiring the measurement of low intensity spectra, or requiring high signal-to-noise (SNR) ratio, P&P Optica offers a line of high performance spectrometers. These systems can offer high resolution spectral information with SNR reaching 100,000:1 and greater in the VIS, VIS/NIR and NIR ranges. High SNR makes these instruments particularly useful for high performance fluorescence spectroscopy, as they allow detection of very small variations in spectra caused by presence of various chemical components. The high performance spectrometers are able to detect changes in concentration of measurable substances as small as 10ppm. This capability can be further extended by averaging data over several scans.
P&P Optica's high performance spectrometers may be used in any application requiring detailed chemical composition of tested substances such as: pharmaceutical products; food products; biological samples as tissue, blood and other bodily fluids; petrochemical products and others. Matching the instruments with appropriate detectors and custom fiber probes allows the overall system to meet even the most demanding performance requirements of industrial and research projects. ...more
Raman Spectrometers

The extreme signal differential between the excitation wavelength and the Raman shift signal requires excellent filtration of the illumination and collected signals. Raman spectrometers also need to have exceptional dynamic range and spectral resolution. P&P Optica fulfills these requirements in our family of non-scanning Raman spectrometers ...more
Imaging Spectrometers

Some applications require hyperspectral imaging where a spectrally resolved 2D image is obtained for an object. P&P Optica's imaging spectrometers can simultaneously produce spectra of an image projected on a slit up to 12mm in length, while providing spatial resolution of about 12 microns, and generating spectra of over 600 points along the slit. When combined with a scanning mechanism, the imaging spectrometers acquire hyperspectral images of exceptionally high spectral and spatial resolutions.
P&P Optica Imaging Spectrometers are of particular importance in applications which require rapid acquisition of spectral information for all points along a slit. Applications such as microscopy, aerial imaging and remote sensing can all benefit from the use of imaging spectrometers. ...more
Multichannel Spectrometers
Many applications require spectral measurement of multiple sources or points along a process line simultaneously. For these uses, P&P Optica's multi-channel spectrometers allow the measurement of up to 140 separate channels in VIS or VIS/NIR. Each channel is delivered to the spectrometer via a fiber terminated with a SMA connector. Usually, our spectrometers are delivered with standard 2 m bundles, which can be modified to satisfy even the most exotic customer requirements.
Multichannel spectrometers of this type have many advantages, one of which is the ability to use several channels as reference signal readouts. This allow for real-time monitoring of light sources used for sample illumination, or to take dark current measurement. ...more
Miniature Fiber Optic Spectrometers
For applications which require single channel, solid performance at a low cost, P&P Optica offers the StellarNet Inc spectrometers as the ideal solution. These instruments cover spectral ranges in the UV, UV/VIS, VIS/NIR and NIR. The UV/VIS systems offer a signal-to-noise ratio of 1000:1 (CCD) or 2000:1 (Photodiode Array) and the NIR systems offers SNR of 4000:1 (InGaAs). ...more
